Daily Bread

The Daily Bread Food Bank is a non-profit, charitable organization that is fighting to end hunger in our communities. As Canada’s largest food bank, Daily Bread serves people through neighbourhood food banks and meal programs in approximately 170 member agencies. Your donations and support are vital to ensuring we can provide food and resources to the thousands of individuals and families across Toronto who rely on us every day.

Furniture Bank

The Furniture Bank is a charity, unique to the Greater Toronto Area and we furnish homes for families in need. Furniture Bank recycles gently used household furnishings from individuals and corporate donors to our client base which includes women and children, refugees and the homeless. These groups have been referred to us by registered community shelters and agencies.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that began its work in Canada in 1882 and has grown to become the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in the country. The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people today and everyday in 400 communities across Canada and more than 120 countries around the world. The Salvation Army offers practical assistance for children and families, often tending to the basic necessities of life, provides shelter for homeless people and rehabilitation for people who have lost control of their lives to an addiction.

Red Door

Since 1982 homeless families in Toronto have had a temporary home at the Red Door while they got back on their feet and were able to move into their own home once again. Women and children fleeing violence, refugees and other families needing safe, supportive housing in an emergency have found it here.
