Here at 1-800-Rid Of It we pride ourselves on giving back to our community. That’s why we’re partnering with Royal LePage Estate Realty for their annual Garage Sale for Shelter. For over 10 years now, Royal LePage Estate Realty has been hosting garage sales throughout the east end of Toronto to raise money for charity.
This year the garage sales are supporting the Red Door Family Shelter, Nellies Shelter, and Scarborough Women’s Centre. We are asking our friends, neighbours and clients to donate any gently used books, toys and household items in good condition that they no longer need. How You Can Help
Donating your gently used books, toys and household items is a great way to give back to your community while also decluttering your home. All donations go directly towards helping those in need within our community by providing support to shelters and violence prevention programs. We are also accepting monetary donations of any amount if you would prefer not to donate items.
Additionally, 1-800-Rid-Of-It will be picking up and disposing of any items left over from the garage sales so you don’t have to worry about what happens after the sale is finished. Your donations are truly going towards a noble cause and making a difference in people’s lives. Because the event is managed by the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, Royal LePage covers all of the administration fees so that all of the money raised goes directly to the shelters and violence against women and children prevention programs in our community.
The Royal LePage Estate Realty team will be taking care of all the set-up required for each sale before it takes place as well as partnering with Rid Of It for the cleaning up afterwards so that everything runs smoothly when it comes time for shoppers to come through. We are dedicated to ensuring that every donation made is put towards helping those in need in our own backyard.
